Jennifer “Jenn” Cangelosi
VP of Global Sales and Business Development

Jenn Cangelosi joined KMI in 2016. She started her career in sales and quality engineering for companies famous for forging leading-edge innovation. There she learned the roots of building and sustaining customer satisfaction. Jenn spent 15 years in engineering, product management, and sales in the industrial and medical markets and applies her technical and business skills to help customers solve pressing challenges. Jenn is a student of the industries she serves. She earned her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in industrial engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI).

Brad Velding
Business Development – North America, Industrial

Brad Velding joined Kinematics in 2021. He has been in industrial Sales and Business Development roles for over 25 years developing long-term, mutually beneficial business relationships and helping customers improve efficiency, productivity and profitability. Previous experience includes providing sensors, controls and motion control technologies to Processing Equipment, Factory Automation & Robotics, Test & Inspection Equipment, Material Handling, and Mobile Vehicle manufacturing industries. He earned his BA degree in Marketing and his MBA from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, MI.

Ben Bielecki
Account Manager - Europe

Ben Bielecki joined KMI in 2004 as a drafting intern. With a keen interest in KMI’s products, he learned the products and the applications they supported and earned his way into a sales role. Ben’s in-depth product knowledge has made him an invaluable asset to customers, especially those with very challenging applications. He approaches each customer design as a welcome challenge to exceed customer expectations in delivering torque technology and know-how that improves application performance while delivering exceptional value.

Mark McIntyre
General Manager, USA

Mark McIntyre joined KMI in 2019 with diverse experience in the aerospace, semiconductor, and solar industries in roles spanning from engineering, manufacturing, applications support, product management, sales, and business management. Mark has worked for Fortune 100 companies, as well as start-ups. He has taken several products from concept to mass production while developing needed business processes and infrastructure. Mark earned his Bachelor of Science degree in physics from the University of Arizona, a Master of Science in Physics from Arizona State University, and an MBA from Arizona State University.

Scott Zeigler
Vice President, Operations

Scott Zeigler joined KMI in 2018 with more than 25 years of experience in manufacturing operations, supply chain management, engineering, and program management functions in the automotive industry. Scott has held global leadership positions in multiple capacities and has led continuous improvement, new factory development, and program launches while developing people and organizations on a regional and global scale. Scott earned his Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan and his MBA from Auburn University.

Ray Lin
General Manager, China Operations

Ray Lin joined KMI in late 2013 with more than 25 years of experience in the manufacturing industry in executive operations management, engineering, quality and IT. With extensive knowledge in manufacturing, Ray drives KMI China to be a world-class manufacturing platform. He believes a business process-oriented system is vital to becoming a world-class manufacturing leader in the field. Ray holds a Master of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Western Michigan University.

Enrique Vasquez
Plant Manager, Mexico Operations

Enrique Vasquez joined KMI in 2019 to lead the company’s Mexico-based operations. Enrique has worked in manufacturing roles for more than 25 years, including in the automotive industry. He has deep expertise in supply chain, production management and new product introduction, as well as in starting up new facilities in Mexico. Enrique enjoys coaching and developing new team members. He obtained an electronic engineering degree from Instituto Tecnologico de Hermosillo.

Kyle Zech
Vice President, Product Management

Kyle Zech joined KMI in 2011 following 17 years of experience in manufacturing, including domain expertise in tool and die, CNC machining, fabrication, plastics and assembly. Leading KMI’s product management function, Kyle touches numerous processes, including business development, sales, engineering and project management. He prides himself on delivering new products in collaboration with KMI’s customers that solve significant issues and fuel revenue growth. Kyle earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology from the University of Wisconsin-Stout and his MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Adam Plesniak
Vice President, Product Development

Adam Plesniak joined KMI in 2016. Adam brings more than 10 years of product development and engineering leadership experience in the aerospace and utility-scale solar industries. Adam’s expertise extends to innovation processes, patent and intellectual property development, new product ideation and prototyping, testing and DFx for software, and hardware and electronic product design. Adam earned his Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic University and a Master of Electrical Engineering degree from Stanford University.

Kenneth (“Kenny”) Miller
Director, Product Development

Kenny Miller joined KMI in 2016 with an extensive, 35-plus-year background in gear design and manufacturing. Kenny worked in the off-highway and automotive sectors of drive propulsion systems, including heavy off-highway torque converters, powershift transmissions, planetary drive axles, automotive transmissions and automotive drive axles. He has also served on professional committees such as the AGMA Bevel Gearing Committee and the ASTM Lubricity Test Committee. Kenny earned his Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering technology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte

Scott Leach
Product Line Manager – Adjacent Products

Scott Leach joined KMI in 2021 after working in the satellite communications industry for 6 years where he gained experience in delivering complex products to customers around the globe as well as negotiating and implementing global manufacturing efforts. Prior to entering the satellite communications industry, he had a robust 20-year career in the automotive service industry. Scott prides himself on offering custom solutions and adjacent technologies to our customers that meet their unique requirements and he works with sales, customers, KMI manufacturing, and vendors to design those solutions. Scott earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an Executive MBA from Kennesaw State University.

Administration

John Payne
Chief Executive Officer

Prior to joining Kinematics LLC, John worked in the aerospace industry and previously held leadership and technical roles with Cobham plc, General Electric, Smiths Aerospace Systems, Dowty Actuation Systems and Rolls-Royce Aero Engines plc. John has extensive experience in operational management and business strategy, program management, business improvement and organizational development. During his career he has worked on over twenty new product development programs, including aero engines and flight controls for Airbus A380, Boeing 787 and Lockheed Martin Joint Strike Fighter, and latterly with Cobham producing advanced avionics for a variety of fixed wing and rotorcraft platforms. He holds a First Degree with Honors in Manufacturing Engineering, a Master’s Degree with Distinction in Engineering Business Management.

Starla Reichow
Chief Financial Officer

Starla Reichow joined KMI in 2016 and is responsible for all finance, accounting, legal and treasury functions, as well as business-centric IT initiatives. Starla brings a rich background in leading the implementation of mission-critical business process and control improvements. She is well-versed in mapping the financials and business process requirements for strategic growth initiatives. Starla holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the University of Arizona, along with an MBA from the Keller Graduate School of Management.

Beth Hintz
Senior Accountant

Beth Hintz joined KMI in 2016, serving as a senior accountant responsible for cash, general ledger and operational transactions. Beth started her career as a CPA with Arthur Andersen before transitioning to a real estate development company where she served as treasurer and accounting supervisor. She later answered the calling to become a teacher, earned her master’s degree in education and taught for many years before returning to a career in accounting and joining KMI.

Yaniv Tepper
Board Member

Mr. Tepper is a co-founder and managing partner of Angeleno Group. Mr. Tepper oversees Angeleno Group’s investment activities in renewable energy, waste management and energy efficiency. Earlier in his career, Mr. Tepper held various engineering R&D positions at Bechtel in San Francisco and at MIT’s Advanced Materials Lab in Cambridge under the Department of Energy. Mr. Tepper holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, a Master of Science degree in civil and environmental engineering from MIT and a Master of Science degree in management from MIT.

Danny Jaffe
Board Member

Mr. Jaffe is a principal at Angeleno Group and focuses on the firm’s investment activities in renewable power and fuels, industrial technologies and services, resource efficiency and critical infrastructure, among others. He has more than 17 years of investment experience in private and public companies. Mr. Jaffe graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the Haas School of Business and minored in environmental economics and policy.

Jim O’Leary
Chairman, Advisory Board

Mr. O’Leary is an experienced chief executive officer and director who has managed businesses and created significant stakeholder value in the industrial, building, and building product/materials sectors.
