When ordering your drive from Kinematics, you can select from 2325 colors. By using the RAL color system, we can custom color your drives to meet your specific requirements.

RAL is used for defining standard colors for paint and coating. RAL is the most popular Central European Color Standard used today. For more info visit www.ralcolor.com.
Descrizione
Kinematics slewing drives are designed, tested and used for a 30-year field life. All aspects of engineering control are based on creating a low-cost, reliable solution with a 30-year performance guarantee. We qualify all the raw materials, components and final assemblies to meet these standards. Kinematics has a tremendous indoor/outdoor test laboratory where overload, life cycle, stiffness and accuracy tests are performed daily.
Kinematics drives are powered with hourglass worm technology to give the maximum survivability load-holding capability as well as increased efficiency and accuracy. Unlike standard worms which touch only 1 tooth, our hourglass worm engages 5-11 teeth on the pitch line of the ring gear from the hourglass thread. This increased tooth engagement gives the gearbox enormous strength and power.
We manufacture a wide variety of model sizes, performance ranges and mounting characteristics. We currently make 9 base model sizes from 75mm to 800mm in diameter. The performance load characteristics range from 6kNm to 220kNm of holding torque, 200Nm to 63kNm of output torque, 500Nm to 271kNm of overturning moment load capacity, and gearbox reduction ratios of 30:1 up to 156,600:1. The mounting can be done horizontally, vertically or a combination of multiple axes.
You may order open housing (exposed gearing) or enclosed housing which is completely sealed to the extremities. We offer drives with dual axes of rotation (turning in separate axes at the same time) and with dual drives on the same axis (2 worm threads driving the same ring gear in 1 axis).
Typical slewing drive applications include solar power, wind turbines, truck cranes, man lifts, utility equipment, hydraulic equipment attachments, oil tool equipment, tire handlers, digger derricks and automotive lifts. There are many other applications as the slewing drive is perfect for applications requiring both load-holding and rotational torque from the same gearbox.
We manufacture many different types of gearing and offer the drives with different types of intermediary reductions and input power. The gearing is either self-locking or overrunning. Self-locking will not turn when back-driven from the ring and do not require a brake while overrunning gears can be back-driven. For installation to hydraulically-driven equipment we install a hydraulic motor. For electrically driven equipment we install an intermediary planetary reduction, then an electric motor.
